Embossing Fun!!

Happy Friday to everyone!!

 It has been a very busy week with yard work, getting my ideas on "Paper" for convention and sharing some time with friends and family.

My share for you this week are cards I made for Stamp Club this month. Using three different embossing folders and a little dauber, easy and quick, these pretties are just the thing for any special occasion

The picture just does not do them justice!!!!! I have a new camera in my near future....yah!!!

Here is a close up of the yellow one...it is so pretty and simple. I used daubers to apply Daffodil Delight and Certainly Celery to the raised spots. The Flower Garden Folder is great to play with.

And here are the other ones.....

. Love this color.....Tangerine Tango and what a fabulous name and I used the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder.

Here is the Melon Mambo pretty......and a different embossed image, Vintage Wallpaper for this card.

Today I have a card I made for a new baby that has entered the world. So congrats to Steve & Annette...first time parents. Welcome to Trevor Steven..you are one lucky little boy, I know your Grandparents!!!

I hope you like my colors....wanted stray a little from the "normal" baby ones. And I didn't use a punch for the scallops on the sentiment piece. Can you figure it out. Just saying...I use scraps of everything when creating.

Blog Candy!!!

Good Morning to all!!!

I am sure you have been going throught the retired lists and there must be some things that you will always keep close to your "stamping" heart. For me the Holiday Lineup stamp set on page 38 will always be one of my seasonal favorites. The Fifth Avenue Floral set...page 110... is going to be well missed so if you love it don't wait too long.

This month I am giving away a stamp set that I think is very versatile but alas is retiring as well. To enter into the contest I would love to know what Stamp Set you are sorry to see go but will always keep for those special cards. Here is a picture......

 

This is the Frame It Stamp Set from page 133 of the catalogue and yes it is going to "hit the dusty trail " the end of May.!! You could have it for just answering my question of the month. I will pick a winner from all the entries and announce it the following week. So check back and good luck.

Just Believe

Happy Friday everyone!!

My card share today is from the Just Believe stamp set. You can find it on page 109 of the big catalogue. yah!!!! it will be brought forward to the new book. I love this set and it can be used for so many things and in lots of different colors. I got the inspiration from one of Sandi's thank you cards. You can find her at www.stampingwithsandi.com 

I used the markers to color the stamp...one then the other. You can also stamp the image with the Lucky Limeade then use a baby wipe to remove from some of it, then add the Rich Razzleberry where you want with the marker. Remember to "breathe" on it before you stamp.

The sentiment is from the Retiring Set , Sincere Salutations on page 160. So if you love it don't wait too long, scoop it up before it goes bye bye.

Retired!!!

Good morning to all!

I have been busy going over the retired lists that Stampin' Up! has posted the last little while. And although it is a little overwhelming.....I am so looking forward to the new catalogue come June 1st this year. Here are a few pictures of the things I have to put aside so I can make room for new goodies.

 Of course we knew the In Colors from 2010-2012 were going to retire but now we will have some new ones to play with!!!!

 This is the stamp sets that are retiring that I have !!!! Can't you just imagine what new and fun things are in the future.

 I now have some room to put new ones and I think some of these may find their way to other homes!!!

 Now if you are interested in the new catalogue, and don't have a demonstrator, I would love to send one to you. Just place an order with my online store of $50.00 (before S & H ) and I will put you on my mailing list. As soon as my books arrive I will mail one out to you. Canadian orders please.

With Sympathy

Good morning to all.

I know we all have had times in our lives that require that special caring card for a dear friend or family member. This week a dear friend of mine lost her husband and I wanted to express my thoughts and the best way I can is by creating something for her. We sometimes get caught up in all the occasions and birthdays etc and it is very hard to make that one card. I hope this one helps a little.

The stamp set Petite Pairs was just perfect for this card, saying what sometimes is hard for all of us. Here's the inside for you to see.

Designer Cuts

Good morning my friends.

 I have been playing with the Designer Cuts cards from the Occasions Mini. I know...the time to order from this catalogue is waning so here is a little tease that I hope you grab. I am so happy with how these turned out and I know you will "have to have" these pretty babies.

 
 I know, aren't they pretty!! And I have to say they went together quite fast. I think it would make a fabulous gift for someone and what I did is put the colors together....imagine with a ribbon wrapped around them to present to that special hostess.

 So what do you think? Don't wait to long to order these babies. If you have subscribed to my newsletter I will be posting the recipe I used to create these cards. I have a couple of sets in waiting for that special person or that special event.

Spring!!!

Good morning and I hope you had a wonderful day yesterday with family and friends.

 I think spring is finally showing itself here and I cut some blossoms for the table. I call the first one "Channeling Maria" as my friend Maria has a talent for the simple yet elegant. The winter roses are regalling themselves outside so I brought one inside.

Their heads are always drooping so here is a shot of the inside.

The forsythia is just starting and the flowering plum will also come out very soon.

I have some very tiny daffs and they are so pretty. A sure sign of the warmer days to follow.

That's my share for you today. I am working on extras on the Blushing Bride group tutorials. Check back soon for projects added to the existing trio. I think you are going to love them.

Pendants in "Steampunk"

Good Morning to all.

 I have added the finishing touches to the pendants that I made while visiting Sandi in Portland. They turned out fabulous even if I do say so myself. Thanks Sandi for sharing this experience. Here are a couple of views of the silver one.

  I know it looks like gold but I think it's the background that changes it. Here is a closer shot.

Easter Goodie Boxes

Good day all my friends.

 I know I missed Friday but sometimes life gets in the way of the creative process. So I wanted to share a little goodie with all of you as my Easter present. This box is made with the Fancy Favor Die and a few embellishments. Check the end of the post for details and dimensions.

So I made a few of these and my intention is to use them at the Easter table at each place setting. Use different colors and "Spring" up the dinner table.

Dimensions and accessories.....

           Textured Lucky Limeade....6 x 12 for the box, 2-1/4 x2-3/4 for inside the bottom of the box.                                           

       DSP Nursery Nest (or any coordinating one)....2 pieces 3 x 2 3/4

                        Perfect Plum ( or any coordinating color )...2 pieces 3-1/3 x 2-7/8

                        2 x 2 Whisper White to stamp sentiment.

                        2 x 2 Concord Crush ( for scalloped piece behind sentiment).

                        Sentiment "Easter Wishes" from retired set All Holidays.

                        16" Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon.

                        10" Lucky Limeade Organza Ribbon.

                         6" Linen Thread

                        Three buttons, different sizes and colors from the subtles collection.

                        Glue dots, sticky strip tape,Fancy Favor Die, scallop punch, 1-1/4" square punch.
